Is CUET applicable to Medical Colleges?

If you are looking to pursue the following courses -

  • MBBS
  • BDS
  • BAMS
  • BHMS

Why NEET and not CUET?

NEET is the sole entrance exam recognized currently by the Medical Council of India (MCI) for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in government and private medical colleges across the country.

  • NEET is also conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), but it is specifically designed for medical aspirants.
  • NEET assesses your knowledge in biology, chemistry, and physics papers, whereas CUET is meant for other undergraduate courses in arts, commerce, science, and other fields.
  • Most medical colleges in India, including prestigious institutions like AIIMS and JIPMER, only accept NEET scores for admissions. These colleges do not consider CUET as it does not align with the requirements of medical education.
