The CUET exam in Shift 1 on May 15 was conducted in CBT mode for 5 test papers. The prescribed paper pattern consisted of 50 questions for 250 marks each, of which all 50 were required to be attempted. Here is what students have reported about the CUET question papers for each subject.

CUET UG Exam Analysis, May 15, 2025 [Shift 1] for Accountancy 

  • Within the allotted time, many students could attempt 50 out of 50 questions.
  • Unlike yesterday, when the questions were nearly entirely outside of the syllabus, there were three basic yet compulsory questions from Computerised Accounting.
  • Five case-study-based questions were asked from the Guarantee of Partner chapter and Shares. 
  • In today's paper, there were no questions about assertion reasoning.
  • There were 20 theory-based questions with the highest weightage from the Fundamental Accounting chapters.
  • No cash-flow questions were asked.
  • Questions about shares, debentures, and ratios were asked in the numericals.

  • As was previously observed, NTA used different chapters for case-study-based questions for today's paper.
  • Overall, the level of difficulty was between moderate and challenging.
  • The questions were challenging and demanded a thorough comprehension of the concepts.
  • Additionally, there were more questions about microeconomics than macroeconomics in today's paper.
  • For the majority of students, the questions on the relationship between curves have been difficult and time-consuming.

  • Similar to the previous two days, the questions in Quantitative Aptitude were challenging, time-consuming, and required calculations.

CUET UG Exam Analysis 2025 [May 14] for History Shift 2

On May 14, the CUET History paper was conducted for 60 minutes during the second shift.

  • Ten passage-based questions were included today, just like in yesterday's paper.
  • Due to the use of different terminology, passage-based questions were confusing.
  • The questions based on the NCERT boxes were confusing and time-consuming.
  • Direct questions about topics like the Indus Valley Civilisation were also included.
  • The questions about ancient, medieval, and modern history were equally balanced.
  • Timelines, match the column, assertion-reasoning, and chronology-based questions were all included.
  • The paper's overall difficulty level was moderate if the student understood the NCERT texts well.

CUET UG Exam Analysis 2025 [May 14] for Political Science Shift 2

On May 14, the CUET Political Science paper was completed in 60 minutes during the second shift.

  • There were five logical questions based on passages and five based on cartoons.
  • One or two questions were asked from the chapters that were removed from the CBSE textbooks.
  • The questions were easy to moderate in difficulty, but are expected to get harder in the next shifts.

On May 14, the CUET English paper was administered for 60 minutes during the second shift.

  • Ten to twelve passage-based questions with an easy to moderate difficulty level were included.
  • Seven to eight questions included vocabulary subjects such as sentence rearrangement, one-word substitution, synonyms, and antonyms.
  • Word meanings were asked directly, making it easy to answer.

  • In Microeconomics, more questions were posed than in Macroeconomics.
  • There was just one simple numerical question from Macroeconomics' National Income.
  • Many students found Micro tough because of the concept connecting and graph-based logic.
  • The authors of the economics books, which are included in the NCERT's little boxes, were questioned. This implies that you must cover everything in the NCERT textbooks.
  • Based on the NCERT book's summary notes, there were seven or eight questions.
  • The chapters' Money & Banking (Macro-economics) and Producer Equilibrium (Micro-economics) sections were worth ten marks.
  • Sequence-based queries were posed from the AD, AS, and consumer equilibrium chapters.
  • There were fewer numerical questions about elasticity and national income, and the paper was mainly theory-based.
  • The paper's overall degree of difficulty was moderate to tough. 

CUET UG 2025 Exam Analysis May 14: (First Shift) for General Aptitude Test

  • Trigonometry, simple interest, averages, percentages, ratios, proportions, and other topics were covered in the paper.
  • Additionally, there were no compound interest questions in today's paper.
  • For QA, the questions took a lot of time because they required formula application and conceptual knowledge.
  • LR covered circular seating arrangements, calendars, blood relations, speed, time, and distance.

CUET UG 2025 Exam Analysis May 14: (First Shift) for Chemistry

  • There were two or three time-consuming statement-based questions.
  • Questions were asked about electrochemistry, solutions, kinetics, d & f block elements, etc., which required a strong conceptual understanding. 
  • There were 3-6 questions from Halokanes, Coordination Compounds, etc, that were time-consuming.

CUET UG 2025 Exam Analysis May 14: (First Shift) for Accountancy

  • The CUET Accountancy paper included three compulsory questions on computerised accounting, which was an optional topic. 
  • Each chapter has at least 1 question, and the paper was well-balanced.
  • The chapters on partnerships, shares, and capital each lead to ten case-study-based questions.
  • There were 15–20 MCQS that were theory-based.
  • The theoretically focused questions assessed your knowledge and comprehension.
  • Some of the significant topics that are commonly asked are types of debentures, cash flow, goodwill from current accounts, ratios, etc.

CUET UG 2025 Exam Analysis May 14: (First Shift) for Business Studies

On May 14, the CUET Business Studies paper was completed in 60 minutes during the first shift.

  • Ten questions from Financial Management and Organising were based on case studies.
  • The questions had an easy-to-moderate difficulty level; many students could answer 50 out of 50.
  • NTA has been attempting to assess students' knowledge and conceptual comprehension.

CUET UG 2025 Exam Analysis May 13: (2nd Shift) for GAT

  • The paper was well-balanced in the second shift, in contrast to the first shift, where LR was higher.
  • Easy questions about direction, analogy, and seating arrangements were included in the question paper.
  • In addition to embedded figure-based questions, there were one or two image-based questions.
  • Although several of the QA questions were difficult and time-consuming, the paper was simple to moderate.

CUET UG 2025 Exam Analysis May 13: (2nd Shift) for Accountancy

  • There were only one or two simple, fundamental questions from computerised accounting out of fifty.
  • There were about 20 theory-based questions and 30 numerical-based questions.
  • Seven to eight of the questions were assertion-reasoning oriented, while about ten of the questions were case study focused on concepts like ratio and partnership.
  • The number of assertion reasoning questions increased from the previous year to four or five.

CUET UG 2025 Exam Analysis May 13: (2nd Shift) for History

  • About ten of the fifty questions were based on passages from modern history.
  • About five or six of the questions, like the timelines at the book's end, were taken straight from NCERTs.
  • About five or six of the questions were a little challenging.
  • There were no questions about assertion reasoning, only straightforward match-the-following questions.
  • With an overall difficulty level ranging from easy to moderate, most students could answer 48–50 questions.

  • This year, the section was largely vocabulary-based — many questions were from synonyms and antonyms.
  • There were only 3 passages (1 factual & 2 story-based) with around 12 questions in total.
  • Passage difficulty: Easy to Moderate
  • There were fewer grammar questions than last year.

CUET UG 2025 Exam Analysis: General Aptitude Test (GAT) [First Day & First Shift]

  • Quantitative Aptitude was a bit tougher than last year.
  • Logical Reasoning had the highest number of questions.
  • Current Affairs had less weightage, but questions from Static GK (linked to current events) were asked more.
  • Around 12–13 questions came from GK & Current Affairs

CUET UG 2025 Exam Analysis: Economics [First Day & First Shift]

  • NTA introduced new topics in Microeconomics this year, and surprisingly, Microeconomics had more questions than Macroeconomics.
  • There were two passages in the Economics section.
  • Several questions were based on NCERT concepts and the Annual Government Budget, as seen yearly.
  • Overall difficulty level: Easy to Moderate
  • However, students found 3–4 questions to be slightly tricky.

CUET UG 2025 Exam Analysis: Chemistry [First Day & First Shift]

The CUET UG 2025 Chemistry paper, conducted in the first shift on May 13, presented a balanced mix of questions across Physical, Organic, and Inorganic Chemistry.

  • The overall difficulty level was rated as easy to moderate, with a balanced distribution of questions across all three branches of Chemistry.
  • Organic Chemistry: This section had a significant emphasis, comprising approximately 14-16 questions. Key areas included reaction mechanisms, conversions, and functional group identification. Topics like Aldehydes, Ketones, Amines, and Haloalkanes were prominently featured. 
  • Physical Chemistry: This section had 14–16 questions, focusing on topics such as Thermodynamics, Electrochemistry, and Chemical Kinetics. Most numerical questions were straightforward and formula-based, with only 1–2 requiring detailed derivations. 
  • Inorganic Chemistry: This section covered approximately 9–11 questions, focusing on Coordination Compounds, dand f-block elements, and Periodicity. Questions were primarily conceptual and memory-based. 
  • Numerical questions were mainly asked in physical chemistry and were generally easy and direct.
