CUET Registration - How to Fill CUET 2023 Application Form

Updated: Sep 13

The National Testing Agency (NTA) every year will conduct the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for the admission of students in various undergraduate programs offered by all the central universities of India.

The CUET exam is conducted to get admission to all the central universities like DU (Delhi University), JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University), JMI (Jamia Millia Islamia University), EFLU (English and Foreign Languages University), and the University of Allahabad.

This common university entrance test (CUET) is conducted for the admission of the students into the undergraduate programs offered by the universities which come under the central government of India or we can say the universities which are funded by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

This entrance test will be compulsory for all central universities. State universities and Private universities are also asked to consider these entrance test scores for admission to their undergraduate programs. This test is now going to be compulsory so this is the latest development that is going to happen.

This entrance test is very good from the student's perspective because earlier students have to write many exams to get admission to different universities. But now there will be just one entrance test for all the universities.

If the students are thinking of getting admission to the undergraduate program in the central universities then they have to appear for the CUET (Common University Entrance Test) examination because the central government has made this entrance test a mandatory test for everyone who wants to study in the central universities of India.

The marks obtained by the students in their board examination will not be considered for admission in the undergraduate program offered by the central universities of India. Only the marks obtained in the CUET entrance test will be considered for admission in various courses offered by the universities.

In this article, you will get to know all about the CUET registration, all the details about the CUET examination, and how to fill out the CUET 2023 application form.

CUET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidates have to meet all the required eligibility criteria mentioned below to apply for this examination. The CUET 2023 eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • The basic eligibility to apply for the CUET test is that any student who has passed their 10 + 2 can write the CUET but however the 10 + 2 marks may be used by different universities as admission criteria. So, they will have a CUET score and the university may fix a certain percentage of marks in the 10 + 2 to be eligible to apply for admission in undergraduate programs based on the CUET score.

  • The universities are autonomous organizations so they have left it to the universities to decide what should be the threshold marks in the 10 + 2 in order to be able to get admission to a university.

  • The only eligibility criteria to apply for the CUET is that you have to pass your 10 + 2 from any recognized board with any percentage of marks. There is no minimum percentage of marks you have obtained to apply for the CUET. You just have to clear your 10 + 2 and then give your CUET examination.

  • The CUET will provide a level playing ground to all the students across the country and it doesn’t have to be based only on the cutthroat competition that we see in the board marks. By this students will focus more on learning rather than just achieving the highest score in their 10 + 2 examinations.
